The Old Wayne County Building in Downtown Detroit.

Well, it’s an empty shell, but it looks like you could find this building in ancient pictures of Paris or Europe, it’s that beautiful. This is the former home of the offices of Wayne County. They have since moved into the Guardian Building as said in an earlier post.

It was built in 1902, designed by John Scott in a Beaux Arts style. The building occupied an entire block and was the seat of Wayne County for the coming decades. Only in 2010, did Wayne County move out.

There isn’t a lot of history on the building, but it is quite beautiful.
