CHRIS ZADOROZNY SPECIAL TO THE DETROIT NEWS

After a back-and-forth game between visiting Canton and Plymouth, it came down to the fourth quarter Monday night.

Plymouth went into the final frame with a three-point lead, but that’s when Rachel Winters and Paige Aresco took control for Canton, scoring 11 of the team’s 12 fourth-quarter points and powering it to a 31-28 victory.

“We held them to six (points) in the fourth, and two (points) came with five seconds to go,” Canton coach Brian Samulski said. “We did really well in the fourth.

“We made a couple shots and were ready to roll, and we were able to get the win.”

Winters finished with a game-high 13 points for Canton.

Kylie Robb scored 10 for Plymouth.
